Question: I was reading the Analytics article, and was interested in using benchmarking to measure our site’s statistics. Reading Google’s description of the service, I would have to allow my data be aggregated into the overall database of statistics in order to read the results. Is the use of this service incorporated into our disclaimer about using Google Analytics? I just want to make sure this is acceptable use before proceeding.

If you are asking if this particular function has been officially considered and/or vetted by the UF Privacy Office, the answer is no.
Our web privacy policy does say that we collect information in order to provide a better user experience and this benchmarking will certainly help with that.
This being said, Web Administration cannot take an official position on this but what we can do is contact the UF Privacy Office and find out from them.
